On January 3rd, 2023, the second set of 5,000m automated drilling rig made by BOMCO for Oman user passed PDO acceptance and was successfully started drilling at the local operation site in Oman. The first set of 5,000-meter automated drilling rig started drilling four days ago, offering customers the first gift of the new year.

This drilling rig is the first automated fast-moving drilling rig exported by BOMCO. It has the characteristics of high equipment integration, high automation and high moving efficiency, and can realize drilling on the same day of moving from a wellsite to another. The drilling rig is equipped with a series of automation equipment developed by BOMCO in recent years, driller's cabin adopts Intelligent Driller Integrated Operating System of BOMCO.

There are 4 rigs in this project for Oman, including 3 sets of rigs with 1,500 horsepower and 1 set of rig with 1,200 horsepower. Up to now, two sets of 1500HP drilling rigs reached Oman and started drilling, the remaining two sets of rigs are being shipped at Tianjin Port.
